In the third quarter of 2022, the top five air travel apps on the Android platform in Ghana demonstrated varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the metrics for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.

PassionAir saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads. The app started the quarter with around 311 downloads and experienced a dip mid-quarter, with a low of 114 downloads in the week of August 8. However, it rebounded towards the end of September, peaking at 345 downloads.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker had a steady revenue stream, with earnings ranging from $4 to $30 per week. The app’s download numbers showed a similar trend, starting with 307 downloads at the beginning of July, dipping mid-quarter, and peaking at 334 downloads in the final week of September. Active users for this app also saw an increase, rising from 969 to over 1K by the end of the quarter.

Ethiopian Airlines maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter. Starting at 244 downloads in late June, the app witnessed a significant rise towards the end of September, reaching 315 downloads. Active users showed a positive trend, increasing from 760 to 885 by the end of the quarter.

Emirates had a relatively stable performance in terms of downloads, with minor fluctuations. Weekly downloads started at 237 and saw a peak of 297 by the end of September. Active user numbers followed a similar pattern, increasing from 492 to 570 over the quarter.

KLM - Book a flight experienced a consistent download rate, starting at 188 downloads and peaking at 239 downloads in the last week of September. The app's active users also showed a gradual increase, growing from 673 to 751 by the end of the quarter.
